Hotmax

Hotmax is useful for starting or reviving a fire. Use a handful of Hotmax with a wood wool lighter in the center to get the fire going quickly. The fact that they’re a bit smaller than some of the other briquettes makes them great for quick heat and they’re brilliant for reviving a dying fire.

Description

Composition:  Hotmax is made from the fines (sawdust and bark) that is extracted whilst making dust free horse bedding for the equine industry. The wood used is all from sustainably managed British forestry.

Ideal for: starting or reviving a fire. Use a handful of Hotmax with a wood wool lighter in the centre to get the fire going quickly. The fact that they’re a bit smaller than some of the other briquettes makes them great for quick heat and they’re brilliant for reviving a dying fire.

Two or three will burn for around an hour depending on airflow.

They do expand slightly, so the same rules apply about careful placement in the fire so they don’t expand onto the glass window.
